Researching

Today I am just researching for relevant articles to what my topic is, and printing them out and highlighting the main points that will help me with my project....

What i thought about doing the expert topic was Polygamist in Utah, Texas......

*In Utah Texas, they have a case pending on child abuse, because young women in their teens, are being married with multiple husbands and have children with the different husbands that they have.....

I also found out that the polygamy are a Mormon culture which is an ancient prophet believed to have complied a sacred history of Americans. Also its a member of the Mormon Church, Also called the Latter-day Saint

I also found out that polygamy, is defined as having more than one spouse at a one time.

Then we had to come up with 10 questions that are related to our topic,

1. What are some affects of child abuse?
2. How can you prevent this from happening?
3. How can a child prevent from being abused?
4. How many children have been abused in the world?
Expert Part....
5. What religion does polygamist believe in?
6. What happened in Utah, Texas?
7. What happened with the children? Why?
8.Are the courts giving them a chance to speck individually?
9. Why did Utah banned polygamy from Mormon churches?
10 How long has this been going on, and did it get worst in the time after it was banned from Mormon Churches?

Well that is all i have for today......And tomorrow i will have more.......
Leaving for New York in 5 more days YAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jessis - Super interesting topic! So, you'll do general research about child abuse, and then go more in depth about the children of polygamists. Another interesting question is what happens to the brothers of those girls. Often, they are kicked out of the 'family' and ostracized (shunned) by all. Also, abusive in a way.

Maybe your expert questions could start with:
Mormonism - who what when
Moving to Utah; the role of polygamy
Legal issues; polygamy no longer allowed in church
Break away groups; The TX case in particular.

I think it will be really interesting for you to follow this story. Is it abusive of the authorities to take the children away from their families? So many interesting questions!!

If you go to google.com/news, you can set it up so they find you stories about the case each day. I'll show you if you can't do it. MK
